CKAS-FLVJ-S Series Vortex Flowmeter


  The vortex flowmeter is used to measure gas, steam and liquid in a full pipe state, and the measurement is based on the Karman vortex principle. When the medium flows through the triangular column at a certain velocity, an alternately arranged vortex belt is generated behind both sides of the triangular column, which is called "Karman vortex". Since vortices are alternately generated on both sides of the vortex generator, pressure pulsations are generated on both sides of the generator, so that alternating stress is generated in the test object. The piezoelectric elements encapsulated in the test probe are under the action of alternating pressure. The alternating charge signal with the same frequency as the vortex is generated, amplified by the pre-amplifier, and sent to the intelligent flow calculator for intelligent processing, so as to realize the display of instantaneous flow and cumulative flow of fluid and the communication and control of flow data with the microcomputer system.

  In a certain Reynolds number range (2×10^4~7×10^6), the relationship between the release frequency f of the vortex and the fluid velocity V and the width d of the flow-facing surface of the vortex generator can be expressed by the following formula:

  Where f-the release frequency of Karman vortex, Sr-the coefficient (known as the Strouhal number), V-the flow velocity, and d-the width of the triangular column. Strouhal number is an important coefficient of vortex flowmeter. In the straight part of the curvature number Sr=0.16, the fluid velocity V=f•d/Sr can be measured so as long as the frequency f is accurately measured, thus achieving the purpose of measuring the fluid flow in the pipeline;

It features simple structure, low failure rate and easy maintenance.

The output frequency is linear with the flow velocity, and there is no problem of zero drift.
